We are in the middle of a snow storm.The weather is going to be really bad for Thanksgiving travel.Stay safe everyone.
Herbal Stuffing Recipe
1LB. crusty French or Italian Bread,cut into 1/2inch cubes(10-12 cups)
4tbl.unsalted butter
2med-large yellow onions,cut to medium dice
2medium celery stalks,cut to medium dice(1/2 cup)
2-3 cups lower salt chicken broth
1/3 cup finely chopped parsley
1tbl. finely chopped sage
1tbl.finely chopped fresh thyme
2 large eggs,lightly beaten
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Bake bread cubes at 400 for 12-15 minutes or golden brown
Melt butter,add onions and celery cook until soft,not brown
In large bowl mix bread,vegetables,2cups broth,parsley,sage,thyme,eggs,3/4tsp.salt and 1/2tsp pepper.Bread should be moist ,not soggy.If to dry add 1/2 cup broth.
Butter 3 qt.dish.Add bread mixture .Cover with foil.Bake at 400 until heated (25-30 Min).Remove cover and bake 20 minutes more.
